Cette page détaille la création des disques d'une cellule de stockage Exadata avec cellcli, depuis les fichiers bruts (raw) jusqu'aux Grid Disks exploitables par ASM. Elle complète Virtu cell (construction d'une cellule en environnement de simulation), où les disques physiques n'existent pas et sont remplacés par des fichiers créés localement avec dd.

Création des fichiers disques (simulateur)

En l'absence de disques physiques (environnement de simulation/laboratoire), on crée des fichiers de taille fixe qui joueront le rôle de LUN : douze fichiers pour les disques durs et quatre pour les disques flash.

Les fichiers FLASH0* deviennent des Cell Disks préfixés FD_ (flash), les fichiers disk* deviennent des Cell Disks préfixés CD_ (hard disk).

Création des Grid Disks

Ce sont ces Grid Disks (préfixe data_) qui seront ensuite présentés à ASM comme disques candidats pour un diskgroup, côté nœud de calcul.
